Very Few Things Could Make Me Happier Than This Does

I'm so glad I got a picture of this. Now I don't have to worry about Quickly being so lonely and sad. They were both asleep before I picked up the camera. This is after 2 weeks and 2 days with Poly:

So. This is the kitchen and living room at the end of the first day's demolition. We (mostly Dave) actually packed up the dishes, food, etc. yesterday, but I didn't think to take a picture of the living room then.

Just ran across your site while googling how to paint around a 70's harvest gold bathtub. Yes, we too have had the unbelievable luck to purchase a home from the illustrious 1970's. The carpeting is in several colors, so that you can choose which color group you may go in the direction of. Knowing it's all coming up makes a color match difficult against the dark brown paneling ever so popular in the erection date of 1975. As of yet the decisions have been made more difficult by the rather overwhelming selections at most carpet stores; don't even go to Lowe's or Home Depot if you want to remain sane or not throw up in the parking lot. In any case, it sounds as though your adventures may in fact mirror ours. Wishing you all the best, and knowing that my Doug has someone also sharing his vocabulary during the process. If you have any paint tips on the gaudy gold tub and sink, feel free to pass them along. Thinking about going bolder, as no sane person would think of pastels to set them off.
Best of luck in your adventures. - Kelly
P.S. We are thinking of leaving the popcorn in the basement to go with the gold velvet light hanging in the corner...
