NaNoWriMo Begins in Less Than Three Months!!!
WOOOOOOOOT!
And despite the fact that:
1) I will be teaching four classes and running the Graduate Teaching Assistant in-service workshops for the incoming public speaking TA's,
2) I might be in a show,
and
3) I have, as yet, no plot ideas,
I will be participating again. Because last year it kicked ass.
If you want to prove to yourself you can do something as completely adventurous and insane as writing a 50K novel in 30 days, and meet like-minded and crazy people both in your own city and across the world, NaNoWriMo is for you.

A) You are teaching, performing and writing a novel? I need a nap now.
B) What was your last novel about?
C) I cannot figure out how to link to your pirate cat picture because I cannot figure out how to get the post on its own page. What am I doing wrong?
Yarrrrr

Pirate cat pic: Try doing a site search for posts with your name in them. You should find it that way.
My first novel is about a woman of about 35 who discovers one day that she is Satan's firstborn child. Only, she can't be the antichrist because she's a girl. So she has to deal with:
1) the betrayal of her family not telling her this before,
2) the identity crisis brought on by turning out to be someone very different than the person she thought she was,
3) the search for her brother the antichrist before he sets armageddon in motion.
It turned out to be fantasy/horror, which was a bit surprising. I had no idea I had such a talent for gore.
Bits of it are great. (Some of the funny parts actually make me laugh even now.) Bits of it suck huge, hairy, donkey d--k. (I have no desire to get the kinds of visitors/spam printing that whole phrase out would bring to me.) I sort of sporadically edit, but it's one of the things I've been putting off due to fear.
The performing is a BIG maybe. I have to audition first. Then I have to be cast. It's not exactly up to me.
