Watching Paint Dry
So I'm just sitting here waiting for my toenail polish to dry, and I have to ask,
Does anyone else out there occasionally paint a new, darker color over a lighter one that's getting old just to save time? You know, without removing the old color or conditioning the cuticles or nails?
No? Just me?
They're going to take away my girl credentials now, aren't they?

If it makes you feel better, I've thought about doing that.

Actually, if I do paint my nails I have a whole paint design planned out. I start with a lighter color in the scheme I intend to eventually wind up with. After a few days when this begins to chip I paint a darker similar color over it. After a few more days when this starts to wain I pain glitter polish over it. Glitter polish is like the super glue of nail paint, it takes ages to come off and it holds like hell. When I grow weary of the glitter goodness I then pain the tips a much darker color, like black, so I have glittery nails with dark tips. Then I might add more glitter a few days later. When all is said and done it has been weeks with no nail polish remover and a different look with low maitenance. Sometimes I have so many layers on that it just peels off. I like to do this with blue.
So you are not lazy. You could take your lazy to an extreme like me. You are actually an underachiever in the lazy spectrum.

If you've planned it out that far, I think that negates the laziness. That's way too much work. You planned a color scheme. I just got tired of the green and painted over in the red I knew was a one-coat wonder.
