Dude! Where You Been?

Sorry. Busy. Getting ready for the holiday.

Which reminds me...

Merry Christmas!!!

Or,

Happy Monday!!!

if Christmas isn't your holy day of preference.

And as a seasonal gift to you, a highlight of my weekend so far: Yesterday, a one-legged derelict offered to buy me a drink. I gracefully declined, but it's kind of nice to know I'm an approachable human being. (However uncomfortable that whole image makes Dave.) After all, a smile and a little common courtesy doesn't cost me anything and gives so much to the people with whom I interact.

Yes, I love being smiled at. I try to remember to do it to people every day, though I am on the careful side (don't want a new special friend if you catch my *cough stalker cough* meaning)

Merry Christmas!

I'm at eaudedeux.blogspot.com now. Fun.

Hi Sally! I got your Junk Mail ATCs in the mail and they totally brightened my day. They are just my style! I adore the holiday card, too...I'm such a sucker for glitter. You are very sweet and I hope I keep getting you as a swap partner. :)

In response to your blog entry, I know how a smile can improve someone's day. I try to greet people in the hallways at work or hold doors when I can but it's rather discouraging when I'm ignored. The Philadelphia area can be a bit cruel and I hope I never have to get used to rude people.

Nettie! I'm so glad you've enjoyed the ATC's. The Junk Mail set was a real challenge for me. (I also participated in the Label ATC swap and that one just about killed me--until I decided to interpret "Label" as "Packaging." Then I was off to the races.)

I'm especially glad you've enjoyed my stuff as you seem to be getting quite a collection from me now. I'd be happy to do a direct swap with you if you like. If you want to extend your collection of my work.

Swap-bot has been an interesting and helpful experience for me. The local group I used to swap with (until they all stopped coming to the meetings) didn't work with themes. We just brought our own "whatever" and traded away like fiends. Paper, metalwork, glass, leather, collage, textiles, you name it, someone probably brought some to the swaps. Most of my stuff for those swaps was photography. There's not much room for that in the Swap-bot stuff, so I'm finding myself really stretched creatively, which is a good thing.

It means I'm having to step outside my own comfort zone, which is always a good thing for an artist.
