PhotoHunt: Heavy
Bear with me. I struggled with this one all week, trying to come up with an image. This struck me as I walked into the bedroom moments ago. It's our version of critical mass. Only, not quite, given that the fourth cat was in the living room. But if Q had chosen to join everyone else on the bed, there would have been an explosion of the hissing, snarling, flying fur, clawed kind. And since plutonium is heavy, it sort of fit. Plus, they're all very close together on the bed, which is quite unusual and lends a sense of overbalancing. You might say the end of the bed is cat-heavy.
So here it is, Heavy. (Pay no attention to the mess. I overslept and had to be on campus to help students make plaster face casts today. I don't think the cats minded though. They had all these lovely cover nests to snooze in.)

Hi, I saw your comment and thought I would visit. Funny, my daughter suggested we show a photo of someone holding one of our cats. Another daughter would have been offended as she says he is just mighty and big boned. Love the photo. We have 3 cats and I hear you about the claws and fur flying as the larger cat does not like the old cat.

We only have two cats right now, but they can be a heavy enough problem without any help! Yours look very cosy and happy.

Please be sure to blog about the lovely Mr. Dan Savage when you introduce him tomorrow. I am so totally jealous because I love him! I have heard he is a very entertaining and engaging speaker and he is brilliant on his podcast with his at risk youth.

Dawn - Thank you. Our oldest cat is also the target of emnity. Not sure why one of the younger cats hates her, but hate is definitely the emotion. I wish we could call our heaviest cat big-boned, but she's actually very fine-boned, so her fat looks very silly on her.
Dragonstar - Thank you as well. We try very hard to make them cozy and happy. They give so much back to us, it's pretty easy to do.
Heather - But of course.
